Hi Lauren,

Thank you for the email.  There is indeed a new device that it being
developed.  It is targeted to come out in April 2017.  It will have a number
of improvements including a significant reduction in the lag time between
when you press the button and when the phone will "speak."  It will also
have sound amplification for people who are hard of hearing, much better
battery life, a new design which will be better for people with low vision
and quite a few smaller improvements like being able to send text messages
to a group.

Hi,

I was a user of an Odin phone quite a long time ago, when they had just come
out. I had trouble with not being able to really speed up the speech and
some other issues. So I bowed out. 

 

But I'm hearing rumors on various blind-friendly groups, that there are
changes coming for the Odin phone. Could you please tell me about the future
plans, future phones, etc, and when they will be operable? I might be
interested in once again having an Odin phone if some updates have been made
to the basic phone. I don't think I want to do the Android thing.
