I wonder if any of those over-the-hood microwaves can be controlled by an 
IPhone app?

thanks for letting us all know.
Obviously had I known I'd never have posited as a potential solution.
I'll return to my quiet non-participatory corner now with the hope that
perhaps legislation could be crafted or structured negotiations could be
entered into in an effort to address this issue as it seems like that might
be the only way to impact the situation going forward.

Whirlpool no longer makes braille overlays, and I'm sure GE has followed
suit.
