[Electronics-Talk] Does where we shop impact accessibility of appliances?

I'm not sure when it will hit Wisconsin, but it probably means another
unannounced entry into my apartment to switch out the little digital tuning
adapter for a box or whatever Charter uses, as I heard online that those
will be done away with in favor of the more elaborate box. Since the complex
pays for the preferred package as part of the rent, I get that required
things need to be upgraded, but it seems that my requests to the manager to
call or find a way to accessibly let me know fall on deaf ears. The little
slip of paper usually flies a good distance out of the door, and I
discovered what happened the hard way when I was going to put on football,
and infomercials were there, and I found a new remote I wasn't familiar
with.

Our TWC is now Spectrum. i just received an Email from them talking about
the new software for their set top boxes. No mention of audio, but it said
something about a menu that would be displayed when you first turn on your
TV. i hope that this feature can be defeated, and that you won't have to
perform some inaccessible action just to get to where you can actually watch
TV.

Telecommunications access? I'll probably be dead before we see that, though
