Tracy,
I am just not 100% sure that the prices stated in the article include a
battery, or if maybe they are for the battery and do not include the labor.
I've seen other information that says $200-$400. I would call around and
see what kind of prices you find. Please report back on your findings.
Annette

Thanks. I was able to pause the video long enough to read the article,
though the video kept coming back after a couple minutes.
It sounds pretty easy to get a battery replacement, and, they say, it only
costs around $80, which is a heck of a lot less than buying a whole new
phone.
Very good info, and thanks to Linda and Annette for posting it.

There is a button on the page to pause the video player.

I just waited it out. I do not think that it ran more than 10-15 seconds.

Hi Annette.
This is interesting, but how do I get the video to stop playing so I can
hear the article?

Tracy & All,
Below is a link to a review of 3 options for dealing with a dying iPhone

When I asked Apple about replacing the battery in my iPod Touch, they said
it couldn't be done. They didn't say that they don't want to repair old
things; they want you to buy something new, but that's the truth of the
thing.
However, if I can just replace the battery in my old iPhone, that would be
great.

The iPhone battery can be replaced either at the Apple store or by an
authorized repair center. I am hoping my phone battery will last until the
rumored SE2 comes out in 2018.
