[Electronics-Talk] iPhone battery was Re: iPhone 5S and IOS 11

I agree with Jim B. I know blind guys who could probably repair an iPhone.
My brother is one of them. But I am not, and probably wouldn't be, even if
I could see. And my fingers aren't as dexterous as they used to be.

If you don't have good eyesight, you shouldn't try messing with your iPhone
innards. There are some pretty fragile tiny wires in there. Duh! Right?
A friend just had his recharging port cleaned. There was lint and dog hair
in it, which prevented the charging cord from keeping a tight fit.
The tech used a very small stick-like brush to remove the debris, and he
told my friend that there are very thin wires in the port that can break
easily.
So Tracy, it's a good thing you aren't comfortable with fiddling with small
devices.
And, in my earlier posting about replacing my battery, the tech didn't
charge me any labor.
