I just got a new Sharp Roku TV for Christmas also. I wasn't certain if it
would have the audio guide on it, but it does. Dad and I just got it set up
last night, and I got Netflix on there and got the Spectrum app downloaded.
The descriptions played right away with Netflix, although I'm not sure if
the Spectrum app has that feature, even though it does and I've had it
working on iOS before. One thing I can appear to do that you probably can't
accessibly with the phone app is to rewind and fastforward, which I always
thought was disallowed on on demand, but it does seem to work. I found a
couple of the music channels and so on that give you the nothing treatment
suggesting accessibility isn't supported though.
