That may or may not affect things. In my setup I have three walls
between my office where the transmitter is set up and the kitchen and
I get about 120 feet before the signal starts to break up. A friend in
NY lives in an apartment building and he can go outside his apartment
and down the hallway quite a way before he starts to notice
interference. What really affects the audio is if tin or aluminum foil
comes between the transmitter and the speakers. I used this setup
during the football season to listen to the games when I was cleaning
up in the kitchen and was surprised one day to find that the
disposable aluminum or tin foil turkey pan being on top of the fridge
between the transmitter and where i normally place the speakers on top
of the fridge really interfered with the signal. Moving the speakers a
little to the side cleared it up though. Another thing I noticed is if
one is using a Bluetooth headset and one stands near the microwave
while it's running will cause interference.
