[Electronics-Talk] Notification volume on IOS 10

Good day to you all, I hope everybody is doing well.

Over the pass few days I have been testing the new iPhone 7+ to see if a switch from Android to IOS is beneficial. However, there is one thing that I have not been able to figure out. On android the Ringer volume, Media volume and the alarm volume are independent from each other. And to an extent they are suppose to behave in the same manor on IOS. In system settings, under Sounds&Haptics, there is a toggle to enable/disable the volume buttons from controlling the media volume, or the media and ringer volume together. However, when enabled what should happen is that when media is playing the buttons should control the media volume, and when media isn’t playing they control the ringer volume. This behaviour occurs as long as Voice Over is not enabled. However, when Voice Over is enabled regardless of whether VO is speaking or not, whether the setting is turned on, or off, the buttons always change the ringer and media volume together. how can I set them up in a way that they control the media volume when media is playing, the ringer volume when media isn’t playing, and when Voice Over is on?

Thanks for any assistance
Kind regards
Santi
