[Electronics-Talk] JFW question

			Thank you Dough and Steve.
It looks like I've got automatic read unchecked in JFW and outlook the
insert v options you all told me to go to, and that I've turned off the
preview option in Outlook.
So far, no luck.
I'm almost beginning to think this may be a bug in JFW 18, I'm using the
version that was released in Dec.

I don't know if my previous note got through, but your best bet is to turn
off the message preview. When you have the message list up, go to the
"view" menu and you will find that option there. Exactly where depends some
on the version of Outlook you are using. You can try ALT-v followed by the
letter p and the letter l to see if it will get you there. You will want to
check the "Off" option.

You might have success setting the speak option which is usually on
Highlight to None, but that may prevent other useful information from
speaking. You can experiment with this by pressing INSERT-S. It is my
understanding that the read message option you were told to uncheck affects
the automatic reading of messages after you open them.

If you don't get anywhere with this, try asking on GUI-Talk which is more
intended for questions like this.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

Thank you and then I assume I want it unchecked? It
appears to be unchecked yet JFW still reads incoming emails.

Hi,

Look for the setting " Messages Automatically Read". Good luck.

Subject: [Electronics-Talk] JFW question

Hi folks. I posted this yesterday but didn't see any kind of response. I
installed JFW 18 and now it likes to read incoming Outlook emails, and I'd
love to turn that feature off. I remember this issue with JFW 17.0 but don't
know how I fixed it, I think it had something to do with turning off the
reading pane?
If anybody knows how to fix this, please let me know or redirect me to
another list that can better answer?
