Marty,
I feel your pain! How I'd love to access youtube, netflix and other tv shows
from online on a smart tv.
How do you access netflix now? Do you just do the dvds and if not, do you
use streaming on a tablet or phone?

Ashley

Subject: [Electronics-Talk] Voice assist on smart TVs

Hello, I have just discovered this list talk and I hope that someone can
help me out here. The family just got a 55 inch LG smart TV for Christmas
with WiFi, so I changed my Net-Flix subscription from DVD to streeming, so
we can watch movies instantly. Unfortunately, I am at someone else’s mursy
when it comes to accessing anything on this TV besides the over-the-air TV
channels, which I can get using the remote. All other programming is only
accessed via the on-screen menus, which do not talk to me. We did a lot of
shopping for this TV and nowhere in my searching did I see anything about a
smart TV with voice assist feature. Does anyone know of such a feature or
any plans to add this to TVs in the future.
Thanks.
Marty Hutchings
