[Electronics-Talk] Volume Equilization

Hello Liz and everyone,

The issue of the volume of various apps on your TV replacement
device or sservice isn't confined to Netflix. We've experienced the same
thing with Roku as well. Some channels will play at a comfortable listening
volume while others can be very loud. Even within programs volumes can be
unequal. We found some programs carried on the Rockey Mountain Channel where
the main program content plays at a comfortable listening level but the
dcommercials are sure to wake you and the neighbors up from a sound sleep.
Many of these devices and services sure could stand the inclusion of a
feature that equalizes the volume on all channels and in all content to a
single level to fix this issue.

We recently became Amazon Prime customers and have already amassed a
large amount of videos. Amazon Prime Video does great in the volume control
department. It's also nice to watch many selections commercial-free. We're
not quite there yet but cutting the chord could be in our future too.

Subject: [Electronics-Talk] questions about Netflix and Amazon Fire tv

HI everyone,

I recently cut the cord and no longer have cable service! I have the Amazon
Fire tv box with VoiceView enabled. I also use Netflix, and when I open
Netflix, the volume is much louder than it is on the fire tv home screen.

Does anyone know if there is a volume setting in Netflix? I have to turn
down the volume using my TV remote.

Also, when playing movies of tv shows, there are audio settings of English
and English 5.1. Does anyone know the difference?

Thanks, and best regards.

Liz
