[Electronics-Talk] talking phone for home

Hello:

I wish someone did make a home phone that would do all those things.  The 
only phones for home I have seen with anything that talks are from 
Panasonic.  On those, the only thing that will talk is the caller ID.  The 
model I have is no longer made but I have seen that the newer models still 
are available with talking caller ID.Unfortunately not all the Panasonic 
cordless phones have that feature.  I had to go with a higher priced 
cordless Bluetooth model in order to get one that talked.  None of the other 
features will talk.  My model came with an answering machine.  It cannot be 
set by a blind person because those features do not talk.  I have been doing 
an online search lately because my phones are starting to have problems. 
The only thing I have found that has any talking features is an AT&T 
answering machine for $29.95 sold by LS&S Group.  You might have to get that 
and add a phone to it in order to serve your needs.  I have not found the 
sales people at Target or Wal-Mart to be of any help.  I think I will try 
Radio Shack or Best Buy so one of their sales people can at least show me 
the phones and they might know more about the talking features.  If I manage 
to find something, I will let the list know.  The technology is out there so 
it is too bad that somebody has not made a home phone that had more features 
that would talk.
