Or you simply have a bad remote and box. Maybe you should try getting it
replaced first. Pam.

This does happen sometimes but it usually comes back pretty quickly. Turning
off the box letting it sit for a min then turning it back on usually
corrects the problem. Sound like the remote was only controling the tv and
not the box. This could happen if you use the tv power button instead of the
all power button. The remote may not have been set up correctly for your tv
or it was one of those rare instances that your tv wasn't coded in that
remote

I do not know about anyone else but mine does lose all voice features. It
has done it several times. Hitting the reset button does not bring it back
either. I also cannot select channels using the number pad. I have to use
the up and down arrow and go one channel at a time. It takes a visit from
Comcast to fix it. I am tired of paying for the visits so I am
disconnecting their services.

that is entirely correct. The exit key on the Xfinity remote will not lose
control over the remote.
