Evelyn,

Thanks for sharing and its nice to know about another flip phone on the
verizon network.
Like you I like mine for texting and old fashioned phone calls.
But, I was wondering about the internet in case I decide I need it.

Does the Terra use multiple voices or just one? Is it male or female?

Is it easy to get to the inbox to read the texts?
On my flip phone now which does not talk much, you just press the okay
button
to pull up a text which just came in and then it appears on the screen.
Pretty easy to access although I have to use a biological interface to know
about it as it does not talk that message.

Do you find the buttons easy to distinguish?

Thanks.

and happy thanksgiving.

Ashley

Hi, Arlene,

Roger Behm has sent excellent information to this discussion. He
caught a really good sale. I didn't, so I had to pay $100 for
mine. At the time I didn't have much waiting time available and
help was intermittent. My 7-year-old LG was getting prettyiffy,
and it's slowness was failing for getting help by phone with
themess-up in my voice mail. I had to go to two Verizon stores
before getting a Terra, but I have no regrets at all. Like Roger
and his disife, I use mine for phone calls and can use it for
text messages. I too have no data plan. Someone sighted has to
turn on the accessability, but after that everything talks.

Regards,

Evelyn

Evelyn, how much does the lg tera cost? Hopefully I could find it
at the
verizon store where I live. just in case anyone is wondering
about how much
the kyocera dura xv, I think it was about $120 which I purchased
out right.
I'm going to make sure on the price of it.

Sandra,

If you are with Verizon, check out the LG Tera. It has full
screen read-out-in other words, everything talks. It's much
bigger than older LG flip phones. As for contracts, the big
companies have been doing away with them. I got mine a couple
months ago and just paid for the phone outright and am on no
contract any more.

Hi, all,

Well, I?™m finally deciding that, in their current iterations, I
am just not made for smartphones, so have come to the somewhat
painful but also liberating decision to investigate
currently-available flip phones. I had a Haven back in the day,
and also tried the LGNV 3 and Gusto, but found they weren?™t
easy to text with. I am totally blind, and so need full TTS so I
can navigate and use functions without sighted assistance;
preferably a track-phone, but willing to go with plans if I have
to?”just would like not to spend some money on contracts,
monthly bills, etc. Any ideas? Thanks!
