I have a Asus RT-AC68U. Technically I have the FREE T-Mobile branded version called the WiFi Cellspot Router Asus TM-AC1900. "ALL" Asus routers use the same web based interface and they also support a configuration app on iPhone and I think Android. As for the app supporting VoiceOver, I've never tried! The Web based interface seems to be straight forward enough with no plugins like java to mess things up. As for a reliable, long range, highspeed router I've never had a problem with mine and have never had to reboot it! (Other then the ancient Tmobile firmware but I got past that by loading Asus-Merlin firmware) Loading merlin onto run of the mill asus routers is more of a task for a techie and loading it on the tmobile router is more of a advanced techie job! Most people won't need Merlin because the asus routers are beautiful just the way they are. If you're not going to use the Comcast or Verizon provided router I highly suggest the Asus line of routers! If anyone wants me to I can check the web interface with jaws and/or Mac voiceover and the iPhone app with iphone Voiceover.
Thanks,

Hello:
I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday as much as I am!
I currently have Fios and the Gateway router. I got it about a year and a
half ago, so am not sure whether it's their newest model. I am having
issues with my Wi-fi connection at the end of the house that's farthest
from the router. I have a raised ranch that has 2,000 square feet up and
around 800 square feet in the basement. Should I purchase a range extender
or another router? I read a review of an Asus router that had a range of
5,000 square feet for $270, but I'm unsure of its accessibility. It also
looks like some range extenders have touch screens.
Any opinions or suggestions are welcome.
