Hi, All, I want to thank everyone who replied to my questions, The maintenance people installed a new air conditioner today: So main unit has buttons I have not looked at yet, and the remote has 8 buttons and is very easy to learn. I can't tell you the brand and model at the moment. Regards, Evelyn
