Thanks, David.
This is precisely what I am trying to figure out, how to get my pc to open a
pdf in my desktop software and not using the online web or browser to do it,
which does not work very well, for me, who is using JAWS 2019.
Is it in the Windows settings I change it, in other words how do you want to
open this file? Or is it settings in the Acrobat software.
Thanks.
Rik J

The most common program to use is Adobe Acrobat Reader -- which is free.
You may also have to configure your browser to open PDF's in Reader, not in
its own plug-in, which isn't as reliable.

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a good and accessible program to read pdf
files?
There are some documents I have to fill out on my grad school's web site,
and when I open them, they keep opening in Microsoft Edge, or it wants to
open in some other internet browser. Wondering if you have any suggestions
please.
