Well, There are a couple talking Gluco-meters, and people can access the continuous glucose monitors/insulin pumps via apps, but there aren't great solutions out there apparently.
I suspect this is primarily for two reasons, first we are a small market, and secondly is the difficulty of getting FDA approval, hence reluctance to do anything very different.
The NFB does have a Committee actively working on improving the accessibility of medical devices -- but this is a tough road to hoe.

What would be really nice is for a device to be a stand-alone one that doesn't need an iPhone or Android app to give the user audible feedback.
I remember that AFB years ago discussed a talking glucometer, but you stil had to prick your finger to get a blood sample for the test strip.
