The answer depends on how you think you'll use the iPad.  Will you use it
mostly at home or somewhere you get a good wireless signal, or will you be
using it out and about?  
I have an iPhone and an iPod Touch.  I use the iPhone when I'm out and
about, and the iPod when I'm somewhere that has a wireless signal.  For me,
the iPad seems big to be carrying around like I carry my iPhone, but other
people feel differently.
