I use straight vinegar. I also descale about every 4 months.

				Thank you Shannon.
What is the vinegar to water ratio you use? How often do you descale?
I also don't leave the machine on.

I always use white vinegar. I run it through, a full tank of it, leave it on for several hours, then begin running regular water through it. Usually, it takes 2 tanks of water for me to completely get the vinegar smell out of it. I have had my Keurig for 9 years now. I attribute descaling on a routine basis for why it has worked well for so long. Also, I don't leave the machine on

One more question about the k select, how does it indicate that it wants to be descaled, and do you have to use the descaling solution or can you use white vinegar?

We just got the Keurig Classic from Bed Bath & Beyond for $99, minus the 20% coupon. $79 is not a bad price, and I think you can also order it online from them and use a coupon. I will have to provide the model number later when I can get someone to read it.

There is a power button, a strong brew button and 4 cup sizes. The power and stronger buttons are both dome shaped, but are in distinct locations that there is no confusing them. The 4 cup size buttons, what I would call bowl shaped. They are arranged vertically and have a graduated size difference. The one at the bottom is the smallest in size and is for the smallest cup. The top button is the largest and is for the largest cup
size. We have only had it since Christmas, so still getting used to it.

We also have the storage drawer that sits under the Keurig. The inside of the drawer has a metal frame that makes up 6 columns to store the K-cups. I really like it as we can dedicate different columns to different flavors of K-cups, i.e. tea, hot cocoa, decafe coffee and regular, etc. At this time, I have not found any other way to figure out which K-cups are which.

HTH,
Annette

I would look for the Kurig K55. It basically has 5 buttons... 3 for the 3 different cup sizes, one for power, and one to start the heating process.
It's pretty easy to use... turn on the power and wait for it to heat, insert the K cup, then select the cup size... 6 OZ 8 OZ or 10 OZ, then when it's done I just turn the power off until the next time I want to use it.

I want to buy a K cup brewer that is totally accessible! I like the Keurig <https://coffeemakerpicks.com/single-serve-coffee-makers/#Keurig_K45> but as a blind person I cannot be sure of the water level that is going into the cup. Any suggesting appreciated.

Mike
