That's interesting; because that's what people usually use to clean regular 
coffeemakers; having nothing to do with descaling.  If that's only for hard 
water, then I guess I don't have to do it.  Pam.

Vinegar is used to descale. The acidity in the vinegar breaks up the
scaling you get when you heat hard water.
