[Electronics-Talk] Has anyone ever heard of a one cup cattle?

Hello everyone,

When we want hot water we just run a pot of water through our Mr. Coffee. It's cheaper that way.

This sounds like the Hot Shot hot water dispenser, which sells on Amazon for about $33. It heats up to 16 oz of water for making a cup of instant coffee, hot cocoa, tea or soup. But for $15, the Kitchen Selectives CM688 single cup drip coffee maker can also perform this funtion and can brew a cup of fresh coffee to boot, and even comes with a 12 oz. ceramic mug. The only advantage the Hot Shot seems to offer is that it shuts off automatically. The CM688 has to be shut off manually when you are finished which, to me, is no big deal. But the Hot Shot does not come with a mug, so it sounds like it is overpriced for what it offers.

I think you mean the breville hot cup water dispenser which is like a kettle but instead of lifting the kettle and pouring boiling hot water over your hand whilst using a audible liquid level indicator, you just simply place a cup under the spout of the kettle set the amount of boiling water you require push a button and hey presto one cup of boiling water and no 3rd degree burns 😃

What exactly is a hot shot, and why would someone want this? Asking in all seriousness, not to be mean.

Is that the thing that blindness places sell or sold called a Hot Shot? If so, I can't tell you much about them, because I have never seen the need to have one. I might have seen one, or part of one at an agency in their break room. Pam.

Hi,

I am attaching this to the cake up issue, because it is a somewhat similar thing.

Someone had mentioned to me that there was a such thing as a one cup cattle or something.

Basically, it’s the same concept as a cure egg, except, you don’t put a cake up in it. It’s just for water. You push the button and it quickly heats up the water and dispenses a certain amount of water. Has anyone ever heard of this before? If so, what is the proper name and what prices have you seen it at?

Jenny
