Tracy the cuff over the arm is still the approved technique. The beckton
dickinsons sold by the independence market are probably the most accurate
ones around.

A couple years ago, I bought a talking blood pressure monitor from Amazon.
It fits over the wrist, not the upper arm, and is not at all accurate.

I see the Blind Mice advertising a talking monitor that goes on the upper
arm. Are those more accurate than the wrist kind? Does anyone have a
talking monitor they think is accurate and easy to use?

Thanks.

Tracy

I have a talking upper arm BP machine that i bought from Maxi Aids several
years ago. Yes, upper arm monitors are more accurate, and this one appears
to be in line with measurements that I get at the doctor's office. As I
recall, at that time it sold for about $90. There are units that will work
with a smart phone, but i haven't tried any of them. Maybe other folks here
can tell you about them.

Andy

My past and current dentist uses the wristband BP unit. Apparently it's
close enough to being accurate.

Hi,
I just bought a upper arm talking Blood Pressure machine from Amazon.
Just do a search.
It comes with 4 AAA batteries or you can connect a micro plug charging wire
to use it on electric.
It has 3 good buttons and has talk assist and plays music to calm you.
It also comes with a very heavy zipper case.
Its the best low price talking machine I have bought.
Hopes this helps.
From, tom

you, and will hold out His hand for you to cling to. Susan Miller
