I think the current ones have RCA jacks but they moving to a Fiber Optic
jack on the back of some Cable boxes for digital audio or just HDMI. Most
people who want better speakers can get either a Sound Bar or a Receiver
which connects to the TV via SPIDF, Fiber, HDMI (via ARC or Audio Return
Channel), or Wireless.

I have a question. On a list, somebody said new boxes for cable would not
have jacks in the back. Like for instance, my Optimum boxes have RCA jacks
in the back which enable me to hook it up to my stereo so I don't have to
use the lousy speakers in my television, one of which is bad and gets
distorted and fuzzy. Do the FIOS boxes have jacks? I hope so, since that
is most likely what I will be signing up for when I move. Pam.

Hi Tracy,
I have Verizon Fios and I'm very happy with it.
The box has Voice feedback (although I don't have that; my friend does).
Another friend uses Alexa to control his box.
You can call 800 974:0660
which is Verizon's Center for People with Disabilities.
That office will arrange for your bills in braille, and send a tech who
knows how to set up the "accessibility" features.
I have my phone, TV and Internet with FIOS and I get excellent service.
Good luck and happy holidays.
Audrey
