[Electronics-Talk] fire sticks?

Hi. Does anybody have one? 
What I'd ultimately like to do is be able to talk to Alexa or my tv and have
the tv go to what I want, regardless of what state the tv is in. 
We have cable, a wii and an apple tv, and when the tv is silent, I have no
clue what mode it's in, wii, cable or Apple. 
I'd like to be able to tell the tv, "Watch Mr. Roger's Neighborhood on PBS
kids" and have it switch modes if it needs to and go to that show. 
Does this exist or am I dreaming?
