[Electronics-Talk] fire stick and Alexa?

Hi folks. 
We have Amazon Alexa. We also have apple tv and cable. My problem is that
when I want to switch between modes on the tv, I have no idea which mode I'm
in. What I want to do is set up Alexa so I can say watch "Elena of Avalor on
Disney Jr" or watch "How To Train Your Dragon on Netflix". (Yes, I have
kids). I am wondering if I could get Alexa and the Amazon fire stick to do
this? 
I realized with Alexa that you need to tell her what you want and where to
find it, and I'm now wondering if it's possible to have a similar setup with
the tv?
