I have several ecobees. Each has a different name such as kitchen and upstairs. I just tell the alady to set the kitchen at.

It is quite a long time since I set it up but I believe all you need is to download the ecobee app from the App Store. Login using your credentials and I believe it will be as easy as that.

Which skill do you use with Alexa to control the ecobee? What sort of commands do you use?

Yes, I have one. If you have an iPhone, you can download the ecobee three app and also integrate it with HomeKit. You can use Siri to turn on or change the thermostat. You can also get the Alexa skill for it but I have not had as much success with the skill.

The ecobee3 thermostat is accessible by a smart phone or Alexa through a skill. Unfortunately, the actual panel is a touchscreen that’s in accessible to the blind.
