I am using windows on a mac book air for the last 3 years. The apple
hardware is very good! It is more work to do this. I have crashed 2 times
over the last 3 years & had to restore the system. That is a hassle.

I would steer clear from HP. I have one that has been nothing but trouble
and this is after it was replaced by HP once. This is unfortunate since HP
used to be great, and the first two laptops I had were HPs and worked great.
I sware by my Lenovo. It has yet to fail me,and I have had it for about a
year and a half. I could only get about a year out of even the good HPs I
had before either the hard drive or keyboard failed and needed to be
replaced.

a few thoughts for what it is worth as i am looking for a laptop.
you can search best laptops and get some good nerd reviews of people that
compare for their needs. if you are running magnification programs like
zoom text a thought could be to look more towards gaming as the graphics can
be a little demanding. i would also suggest upgradeable so you can future
proof it as best you can. i personally think dell has slipped and i am
looking more at HP.

One of the people on the NFBCS list really likes the MS Surface. I have no
experience with it myself.
They looked nice at the Microsoft store, but they are also quite pricey, and
I just bought a new laptop. I bought a Dell, and I am not real thrilled
with it, but part of that is the learning curve for Windows 10. And the
thing is slower than my old Windows 7 laptop.

Hello,
I am in the market for a new laptop. I think I want something super portable
this time. Can anyone provide me feedback on these? If using jaws, is there
a lag? I am going to the Microsoft store tonight to check them out but it
always helps to hear from others. Thanks.
Jessica
