[Electronics-Talk] lucia phone Red flag

Don't bother with the Lucia phone.  It is an overpriced rip-off. at
$300.  By contrast, the Jitterbug Flip and Doro 7050 big-button flip
phones sell for $100 and $50, respectively.  Raz Mobility, the US
distributor for the Lucia phone  claims on their web site that they will
be introducing a 4G model "in the future".  Oh, really?  They have been
promising a 4G model for almost two years, now.  Odin Mobile also made
similar promises about introducing blind-friendly phones "in the
future".  How did that work out? The Lucia is made by a small,
fly-by-night outfit that has the balls to actually continue selling 3G
phones at a time when many carriers, including Verizon Wireless, will no
longer activate 3G phones because of their impending switchover to 5G
networks. Yet another company that is exploiting unwitting blind
consumers. Caveat emptor!

However, if someone has an 3G phone and wants to purchase the 4G when it comes out next year, they will have to pay the full price for a new phone. There is no option to upgrade.
