Hello Amy,

This sounds like a wonderful topic and I’m glad the center is putting out such a relevant webinar.
Will this be recorded? I will try to make it though; but I know working adults who cannot make it so I hope its recorded and available on request.
I’ve always wanted to learn more about the amazon echo show including how to get described movies on it. I hope they demonstrate money identification if that is a part of the echo show as well.

Also, please post about other webinars your center may have. I’m in Virginia and unfortunately we don’t have a private center that does webinars or any training; we do have the state rehab center but you have to have a vr case and meet eligibility requirements for it. Webinars such as this provide a way for anyone to learn who needs it regardless of their life circumstances and vocational goals or lack of goals. I may look for work more after the pandemic but right now that is on hold and staying safe and healthy is more important.

Thanks!
Ashley

>> Hi Everyone,
>>
>> Come and join us on August 7th from 10:00 – 11:30 am for our first Tech it Out with Vista meeting. Using the Zoom platform, we will have a video presentation and discussion about Amazon’s Echo Show. We will hear about the features specifically designed for the visually impaired, such as the Show and Tell feature which allows the smart speaker's camera to recognize household pantry items. Users simply hold the item up to the display screen and ask, "Alexa, what am I holding?" and she will tell you what it is and other helpful information about the product. This is an exciting feature for all of us who are blind and visually impaired. We will have a special guest from Amazon, David Frerichs, Principal Solutions Engineer
