Not really, if you use a label written on plastic tape.  I buy label tape
from some place like Staples and write on it with my slate.
But I usually use bump dots to mark appliances, because a tape label is
quite a bit bigger and thus doesn't mark a spot as clearly.

How most Association for blind do for labeling appliances such as stoves
and microwaves are using bump dots and and not Braille labels . Because if
you touch a Braille label and your hands are not clean you stand the chance
of ruining it.
