You do not need to do that.  Once everything is set in V-Sync for how you
want things to cook, there is either cook now or start now button after the
temperature and cook time.  Double tap on that,and all works fine.

I finally got it up and running and can use the app and our echoes.  The
only problem I have noticed is when using the app you have to press the
start button to get it going.  You press the cook now button and it tells
you to pres the button on the device.  With the echos you don't have to do
this.

I do have one quick question about this air fryer.  How do you actually
start the cooking process?  Either with manual or the presets?  There is a
cook now button but it tells you that you have to press the button on the
device.  I was told that you can start it from the app.  Thanks again.

The vSync app has an option for small kitchen appliances.  Once the air
fryer is plugged in, it will come up once that is double tapped on.  Someone
correct me if I am wrong, but if I recall, it said Kasori Smart Air
Fryer,and then after double tapping on that, it then asked you to select
which model you have.

Do you by any chance have the Users guide for this?  I bought one and it is
arriving tomorrow.  Also, I installed the Vesync app.  Do you need any other
apps for this?  It looks like the Vesync app is more for smart plugs and

I did hook my Echo up to my air fryer but never used it with Alexa. I love
how I can control it with my phone. I also love how big mine is. We could
cook 3 chicken quarters in ours. Roasted broccoli is very amazing in it as
well. I just sprinkle salt and garlic powder on frozen broccoli, spray it
with EVOO, and air fried it at 360 for 18 minutes.
