There was a publication, back in the 70's called the Braille Technical File, 
that had a series of detailed articles on how a blind person could solder. 
It was a great publication, and it may have been put on-line -- I can't 
remember.

Many years ago I read an article in New Beacon Magazine called Wiring By 
Hand and it gives a useable technique for blind people to do soldering used 
as far back as World War II.
