Romeo Brailler by Enabling Technology and verizon fios cable box designed
by who knows?
When I was using the romeo, I was near a flight control tower.
When I use the verizon fios product I'm in ear shot of fire trucks going
by and close to a firehouse.
How these two products are similar is both of them get configurations
messed up by signals coming from flight control tower and firehouse. Had
to call enabling technology to get the printer back in correct
configuration. This morning I had text to speech working fine when tv
turned on but give it a few minutes and a fire call and try to change the
channel and no text to speech any more.
Either it's impossible to design electronics any better or it's not being
done by manufacturers for whatever reasons with cost probably near the top
of the list.
In past, I've been able to power the cable box off for a few minutes then
turn it back on and have it re-provisioned with my selected configuration,
but this is getting old fast.
