Hi, Pam.
With Xfinity's X1 set-top box you don't need to use your voice in order 
to independently access features. As you navigate through the menus on 
your remote you'll hear Voice Guidance speak where you are. As to how 
you would know the location of the buttons on the remote I'm sure that 
the technician, assuming that you were not installing the box yourself, 
would go over the layout of the buttons with you.
In addition, Comcast has a dedicated support center for customers with 
disabilities.
