Now, how could a neighbor turn your text to speech off?  That doesn't make 
sense.  I think you should report that to them, because somebody else 
shouldn't be able to turn on or off anything in your cable box.  Pam.

If anyone on this list has turned text to speech on with a verizon fios
remote that spreads out near the top two semi-circular protrusions from
the sides of the remote and you remember how to do that could you send
that information to the list?  I got moved from xfinity to verizon fios
recently.
I called verizon and got text to speech turned on and then text to speech
got turned off remotely.
A guess would be when text to speech got turned on for my TV it also
turned on for neighbors in nearby buildings and one of them turned it off
for all of us.
