I wanted to chime in and say I love my Vitamix blender. I believe most models are fully accessible. I have the pro 750 and it is very tactile. Two levers and a manual dial that has verible speed on one have and presets on the left, which you can just memorize and the dial gives you feedback by stopping at each preset turning counter clockwise. The presets are for several kinds of blending with preset times. I mostly use the smoothie one and then the clean function all the way to the left, where I just put in a dab of dish soap and warm water half way up. This gets any gunk from some ingredients that tend to stick a bit.
I think most are like this at varying prices. It would state if it has a touch screen, and there are so many that do not, you should find one suitable. They do cost more, but last ten or more years.

Yes, they are. The 5200 has three controls; a up/down toggle button for power on/off, a second toggle for normal/high speed, and a rotary speed control for use when the normal/high toggle is in normal mode. NO display, menu system, or hard to feel membrane buttons. The speed control does have markings for 1 through 10, but it has hard stops at 1 and 10, and you can guesstimate the other values. And, for most recipes, the setting isn't critical. If you blend at 6 instead of 5, it won't make much of a difference.

Sorry if I sound like a Vitamix advertisement; I'm just a very happy customer.

I would agree. Although the VitaMix blenders are on the pricy end, they are incredibly awesome with blending ice and frozen fruits. The Ninja does not leave smoothies as smooth as the VitaMix. You can usually get the VitaMixes on Amazon refurbished for a much better price than buying them new.

I highly recommend the Vitamix 5200 (or current equivalent). It makes great smoothies, soups, and desserts, it's easy to use, easy to clean, and it's blind friendly. It's not a bullet blender, so it may not quite be what you're looking for. But I think it's worth considering.

I'm wondering what you guys might use and what works well and is accessible for a blind person. I really don't want anything big or complex, as I wouldn't use this for anything extraordinary.

I've heard of things like the Ninja or the nutria-bullet, but I don't know the difference between those things.
