[Electronics-Talk] Washing machine

I prefer front loaders myself. They're easier to access, have greater capacity and spin at greater speeds so the clothes come out with less water in them and requiring shorter dryer times. I've never had a problem with the rubber gasket. The door on our washer has a magnetic latch, so you can close the door without shutting it all the way allowing air to circulate, so there's no problem with mold. Our next washer will also be a front loader, unless technologies change again.

Our current washer is from LG. When you hit the start button the menu always comes up in the same state, and I can feel the clicks as the selector knob moves between different options, so I can handle most of the clothes washing myself without sighted assistance. Unfortunately though, not all of the advanced features are accessible. I probably could have gotten a more expensive higher end model that would have worked with an app or some of the smart home options, but they were harder to find at the time and required purchasing one of the high end machines. I don't have the model number, but I can try to get that in the morning when my wife wakes up. It's a few years old, so I'm sure the model has since been replaced by something LG thinks is superior.

We prefer top loaders. easier to operate and maintain.
