Oh that's reassuring though so it will have some functionality. It likely
has a remote too so it should be interesting how that will work.

It does say it has Google Assistant built in but that doesn't necessarily
guarantee accessibility.

Hi,

The Amazon Firestick has it's own Screen reader. I have been considering
switching back to Verizon FIOS for internet and as I've mentioned before,
cutting Comcast Cable. They offered me one of those when I considered
switching but at the time, I didn't want anyone in my home for more than a
few minutes. I could not get a direct answer from the accessibility Center
at Verizon so unless perhaps this device is Android and Talkback could be
enabled, I don't readily see that it would be accessible. Obviously, the
other way would be if it has a browser interface.

I will be curious to hear from others as well. Unfortunately, it just may
be one of those items that we may not be able to utilize. Personally, since
I have Amazon devices, I wasn't over-concerned. Their accessibility Center
sure didn't follow through on this one though because it would be a good
idea if they would keep up with promotions and work with others to in the
least offer an alternative. The Fire TV stick is not that expensive and it
could be an alternative or there's likely others.

Hi All:

I recently switched my cell phone service to Verizon and one of the free
perks I got for doing that was a Verizon Streaming Player. Does anyone on
this list use one of these? Is it accessible? Is there any difference
between the Verizon Streaming Player and the Amazon Firestick?

Thanks!

Dennis
