Well I'm sure this is a good discussion to have over on the cord cutter's
list.

I have made some comparisons and so it all depends upon what you personally
desire from TV Movies and similar media.

I rarely turn on the Cable TV side here so I am paying a significant sum for
service that I don't really use.  I find enough on Amazon Prime and there's
free Apps and I may subscribe to another app that I pay for but what I do
prefer are no contracts and no surprise price hikes which I have experienced
often as a Comcast Subscriber and some were significant.

For my own lifestyle needs, I may be residing in two different places for
the coming few years and so I really don't want a dedicated cable provider
and I can use what I am already subscribed to in a more portable fashion.

Perhaps it's not for everyone but it is increasingly more so for me.

Sorry, I always questioned things like this.  Sure they cut their cable
costs.  But, do they really gain anything in the long run?  You spend let's
say $160 in cable costs, but, spend $190 with all the services you subscribe
too. The person who originally flew this idea got everyone to do everything
for her, thus I would suggest not all of her brain cells were functioning to
their full capacity and was just jumping on the latest fad.

can lower their monthly cable tv bill by using cable replacement services.
It is a place to learn how to successfully migrate from traditional cable tv
services to services that allow one to watch TV over the Internet on many
different devices. Discussions concerning the use of these services to watch
tv over the Internet using these cable tv alternatives are strongly
encouraged. Topics can include which services offer a wide variety of
content, which apps and services work well with assistive technology on a
wide variety of devices, ways to access video description via these
services, available accessible documentation for cable replacement services,
and potential work-arounds for stand-alone apps that don't work well for
blind viewers. Efforts to urge cable replacement service providers to
improve the blind-friendliness of their products are also welcome. Happy
