[Electronics-Talk] experience with a metal roof in a regular house

We appreciate the responses so far concerning how radio and tv reception would be with having a metal roof. We live in a regular house, however our roof needs to be replaced. From doing some checking on different kind of roofs we've learned that a metal roof is about the best type roof because it will last much longer than a conventional shingle roof. Also the rating on metal roofs is much better than conventional roofs. In fact it's rated to withstand winds of 120 miles per hour. and going with a thicker gauge metal it will withstand hail. So if we need too we could put an outside antena up. There brings up another question do any of you know what a very good external antena would be?
