Unfortunately, not where I am. There is too much inter-modulation from
their being so much RF from all manner of sources in the area. The other
issue is the building materials of my townhouse which has always blocked
good reception.
When I eventually move away from this area to a single home, then yes, your
suggestion will work well.

for those who live in or near larger cities, get an antenna, even rabbit
ears.
That will take care of local programming.
I live about 50 miles from Indianapolis, and put an antenna on my chimney.
get 28 stations, which is more tv than I can watch.
