[Electronics-Talk] Washing machine

In my previous house, the dryer was in the middle of the house, so the lint duct went up the wall and between the floors for about 12 feet to vent on an outside wall. Keeping the duct work clean and lint free was a major problem! One year, we had to go through the sheet rock to get to the duct to clear a blockage. One of my check list items for my current house was to have the laundry room right on an outside wall, so no duct work or even tubing is required! As Tom says, keeping that duct work clear will save money and avoid some safety issues.

Long message and here goes… After this email I went down to my friendly neighborhood person with a huge warehouse, very knowledgeable and walked through the options. Basically everything is automatic and short story just leave all setting in one place. The safety message I want to point out and I forgot about this was as my dryer was not working so well, haven’t cleaned out the lint up in the walls for 14 years, which yielded a third of a garbage bag of lint. This has every advantage to take care of as in safety and fires and using extra electricity as now my 14 year old dryer works perfectly. There are companies like a chimney sweep that will come out for a low price or I got the maintenance guy with some grabbers and a vacuum which is not a professional job but a great answer to get you bye. Again, this started from this email and I thought my dryer was dying and remembering safety and went to the local store as compared to rock-bottom prices at customer no service at some thing like a Home Depot. In addition the owner said the front loaders are greatly improved and that’s what she had. I was looking at the lesser expensive entry level basic one that met all the needs. Hope this helps Tom
