If the PDF file is made so JAWS can read it, I can paste the PDF into a Word document. If the file just says "alert: empty document," I can't do anything with it.

A little late to the party, but...

I don't use a PDF-to-text converter. If I find a PDF I want to keep and edit, I paste it in a Word document.

Has anyone found a REALLY GOOD pdf to text converter that works with Windows?  Especially with image files, the jfw converter I find sometimes to be rather lacking.
