[Electronics-Talk] internet service providers and data caps

I'm dumping Comcast because for budget reasons, I need to remove certain services but what I was offered from Comcast was like a real insult and it was about $25 more than what I would pay for Verizon FIOS and Comcast was only offering me about 20MB down for $117 and I can get Verizon FIOS gigabit for $89 plus tax.  Comcast doesn't really care if they lose your business either.  Comcast customer service has been rated the lowest for consecutive years as well.

I realize that everyone doesn't have access to FIOS and I should never have left but I wanted a bundle.  Bundles really aren't what they used to be in terms of offering one the advantage of paying less overall for subscribing to more than one service from the provider.

Sherry, I think they’re good or bad news is they all suck, so you have to pick the least worst, smile. I’ve never heard of frontier and AT&T lied or misrepresented and finally told the truth to say that they are never going to improve the service in my area but continuing to charge high prices and then I have Comcast TV only and their claim to fame is literally raising the price on me 10 and $20 a month maybe once or twice a year. Having said that, if I was starting over then I guess I would go with the Comcast because I think the service is better. I would think we’re talking unlimited Internet and then on your phone you just use the Wi-Fi from your house which is they’re not burning up your data. That’s my two cents
