[Electronics-Talk] Ring doorbell users

Well, your Ring probably has the ability to store a certain amount of video
but if you're not subscribed to a service, it would likely roll over when
its storage capacity is full. Therefore, a service would likely keep
backups which are taken periodically so that you would have more video
stored and available to submit to law enforcement.

So there would be no way to submit that video unless I bought the monthly
subscription?

You have to pay a subscription of 4 dollars per camera unless you get a ring
protect plus subscription, which really is more useful if you have a ring
alarm security system too. The cameras work with no such subscription for
live view only, you can't go back through the timeline and replay videos
from when the door to door salesman came and ripped you off.
