Nicole,

Setting up face ID is very accessible. With VoiceOver you'll be prompted through the process, such as where and how to move your face to get your face captured. Once this is set up you'll  still need to slide up with one finger to get to your home page but you shouldn't have to enter your pass code very often. You'll still need to do it whenever you restart your phone, and I think at least once every five days or so.

I find on my personal iPhone 11 this isn't as reliable as it is on my employer provided iPhone 12, but I assume this is more user error on my part than anything else. I plan on recapturing my face on my iPhone 11 to see if that helps make face ID more reliable on that phone.

I misspoke. I had the 12 mini, and had it for a year and a half. The only times I got it to work were completely accidental. Lol.

When I had a 13 mini I had to swipe and enter my pass code all the time.
Even though the phone guy set up the facial ID, I almost never got it to work. I switched providers this year and got the 2022 SE and am happy to have a home button with touch ID again. With my facial ID not working, I couldn't bank, buy things or pay my apple bill on my phone.

            On the iPhone 13, is there a way to make it where you can do something other than swipe up with one finger to get to the pass code field to unlock it? Also, has anyone been able to set up face recognition? It seems like a very visual process.
