The State of Accessibility: Are We Living Up to the Promise of Compliance and the Law? Each year, the CUNY Accessibility Conference brings together hundreds of participants from the New York City region and across North America to discuss accessibility, disability services and disability activism in the context of postsecondary education. Two years after the start of an unprecedented pandemic and resultant transitions nationwide, we are returning to our foundation. The conference theme for 2022 is The State of Accessibility: Are we living up to the promise of compliance and the law? With this theme we hope to reflect topics such as on meeting the promise, falling short, advancements the law did not anticipate, and moving beyond a legal framework of accessibility.
