[Electronics-Talk] Wired mini speaker

I am looking for a small speaker that I can plug into my laptop.  The one I
have that's on its last legs is a Kinivo ZX100 and is about the size of half
a baseball.  I like it very much, but apparently it's not made anymore. 

My laptop sits off to the side, and I want a speaker to bring the sound
closer to me.  I want small, with a wired connection, and accessible
buttons. I don't care about stereo; I'm just listening to Jaws yap for
hours.

Any suggestions?
