[Electronics-Talk] Accessible Home Theater Receivers

Hi, Folks. Well, turns out that I'm able to control my Pioneer VSX 932
from my iPhone. Friend of mine researched Pioneer site and found the
app for Pioneer. For now, that little gem saved me a few hundered
bucks, as I thought I might need to buy a new receiver. So far, so good.
Thanks to all who responded to my query, but keep the thoughts coming,
as others may want to do the same thing.--Matthew Chao

There was just an update to the app though, and I can't figure out how to navigate these services any more. I used to be able to go into the SiriusXM service, and it looked like a much simpler and cleaner interface then you get on the SiriusXM app, but now it just looks like a random list of the SiriusXM channels. I haven't checked out the rest of the app, so I'm not sure if the ability to control the receiver is as slick as it used to be. Sorry I have to back peddle a bit on my full throated endorsement of the Denon line of receivers. It may all still be good, but getting familiar with this new app is going to take a while.

For a small speaker it has lots of power! The only thing I have yet to figure out is how to call up music services and radio stations directly on these denon devices. We want to be able to do this in the event our tv goes south again so we'll always be able to access our various music services. Both Denon devices have Alexa and Heos enabled. Some information on knowing how to do this directly on our Denon devices will be very much appreciated. Matt and others will also benefit from this how-to.
